Act Two, Scene Seven

Eric and his brothers wake up. The three go into the kitchen to get water and drink coffee.
Quinton
Damn, I have the worst headache ever. Did we get drunk last night or something?
Eric
I believe so.
Devin
Welp, I better get dressed. Today I’m going to look for a job.
Devin walks into the back room.
Quinton
What’s your plans for today Eric?
Eric
Well since Devin is going to have the car, I guess I’ll just clean the house. Maybe watch a little TV or something.
Quinton
Why not work with Devin?
Eric
That’ll never work. He and I can’t be around each other for too long.
Quinton
Oh.
Eric
Yeah, there’s no point in both of us being fired. I’ll just borrow the car tomorrow and go out job hunting.
A knock is heard from the front door. Quinton opens it. Brittney is at the door. Quinton lets her in.
Brittney
Hi, I’m sorry, I hope this wasn’t a bad time.
Quinton
No, not at all. Go right ahead and have a seat.
Quinton and Brittney both sit on the couch. Eric goes into the back room.
Brittney
Your brother Eric told me that you wanted to grab lunch sometime. I was trying to see if you had free time right now to grab something.
Quinton
He did? Well, my brother Devin is taking the car for the day, so, sorry about that.
Brittney
That’s okay, we can take my car instead. I mean if you want to.
Quinton
(Short pause) Sure. I’d like that. Let me just go get properly dressed.
Quinton gets up and goes into the back room. Devin enters the front room, heading to the front door. Eric is chasing behind him.
